The national history museum beside the government quarter.
The building is a landmark of the post-earthquake city. Inside, the lower floors follow archaeology and older history, and the upper floors cover the modern republic. Allow time, and check the ticket desk for photography rules. Opening hours and prices are left blank until someone checks them on site.
